Description A few hours after Guitar Hero: World Tour was released, the internet was swept by users' complaints about the game's peripherals' problems.
Most of the complaints revolved around the game's drum pads and cymbals that don't register all hits. A remarkable number of users also complained that the wireless guitar stopped registering downward strums after a few hours.
The problems are evenly distributed across the Xbox 360, Wii, Playstation 3 and Playstation 2 versions of the games.
Activision set up several dedicated threads on their official forums, advising users to check batteries and connections then call customer support. The giant publisher then issued a formal statement acknowledging the problem.
We have learned that certain drum kit controllers manufactured for Guitar Hero World Tour have sensitivity issues", read the official statement. "We believe that these controllers are limited to ones in the earlier manufacturing stages. While we believe that this was an isolated manufacturing issue, we are stepping our efforts to randomly test our drum kit controllers so customers can be assured they work properly. In the event any consumers do experience problems with their drum kit controllers associated with sensitivity issues, Activision will soon be offering a drum tuning kit that will enable players to fully optimize their drums.",/b>
