I mean Next Gen in terms of consoles, not pc's. If top of the line pc's costed the same as these consoles do then I guess we would have no need for consoles would we? The technology you get for the price of these consoles is pretty damn good, except the Wii is lagging behind the PS3 and 360.

Anonymous, please tel me WHAT console is up to "Next Generation" standards? Not the Xbox360. Not the PS3. Not one of those consoles can run games at resoltuions the same as a high-end PC. 1080 WILL NEVER HAPPEN ON THE PS3.So it's not next genration...regardless what Sony or MS says.

Nintendo is dead. The hardware isnt up to next gen standards, the controller is a recycled TV remote and Nintendo are still pumping out kids games like Mario which dont appeal to most gamers. Rest in Peace Nintendo.

Brilliant advertsing by Nintendo. In just a few short days this name is on everyones lips. That's what you call free advertising which translates to sale later on. You could not pay for this type of advertising. Nintendo is not going anywhere. The name is stupid, but the why they advertised it is sheer genius.

The name stinks, the controller is a stupid gemmick that they have put all their faith into and when people actually get it, they might find the controller sucks.I think this is the end of Nintendo. If they don't have decent games for their system, no amount of publicity stunts is gonna save their console system.

Meh, it's just a name. As long as it is a solid system that is fun to play, then it doesn't bother me.

Wii, as it is properly pronounced, is a slang word for urine. What are Nintendo thinking??? And it doesn't look like they're going to drop the name. The name Revolution was awesome! ps first post
