The same fanboys who go out and buy the same sequels to a 20 year old game series that follow the same gameplay mechanics. Wii is actually trying to be innovative and new, something that hasnt been done for over 10 years. I think it is a step in the right direction and will be a blast to play. Whereas the PS3 may look better on some games, its just the same thing we've seen sony producing for 10 years but w/ a higher poly count, no innovation at all (minus blu-ray if u can count that). Its gpu is similar to a lower-clocked radeon 9700, which was state of the art in what, 2002? Ps3 and Xbox 360 are at the very least 3 generations ahead. Wii just won't produce anything close to the immersive worlds on ps3/xbox360. And you know what? Better AI, and larger immersive worlds add to gameplay, probably moreso than the Wii controller. And as for the much heralded virtual console on Wii... you mean I have to pay for all those classic nintendo games again??? The pricing for this service is ridiculous. If I were to get a wii and purchase (hypothetically, it won't happen because most of my favourite classic games won't make it to virtual console) all my old nes/snes games, which I still own, I would end up paying more for it than a ps3.
