If developers and console makers made mouse for consoles a bit more of a "standard" thing, then consoles could easily replace PCs on what PCs are the best, RTS and FPS games, for any other genre, consoles are better for one simple reason, ease of use. To play PC games you have to install, patch, install drivers, crack (unless you want to switch cds everytime you want to play a different game), plus, if you want to have a lot of games ready to play, you need large hard drives, all of these are bad for the average person. Countless times I just wanted to play a game for a while, and didn´t because the time I had to play was the time I´d spend installing the game... In the future the PS3 might catch up with a few great games. And to have the HD DVD drive for the 360 and built in BR drive for the PS3 is great. The 1080p res on BR movies through HDMI is excellent. Actually the X360 is the more costly of the two because you have to buy the wireless adaptor , and if you want HD DVD the drive. And with the 60gb PS3 the wireless and BR is built in for $600. The only gaming I am doing on the PS3 is Fall of Man. Everything else on the 360. They both have strengths and weakness. Right now the 360 is a better buy for gaming. Whilst ive played gears of war on my mates xbox and yeah it was great i was nearly going to buy an xbox just for that game. The thing is my pc s**ts all over any consoles graphics, but the wii is just FUN! Nothing more, nothing less. OKAY it is expensive, but damn...I love graphics like the ones that XBOX360 or PS3 give. The Wii IS LAME, and for the graphics? Better buy yourself a Xbox360 it's just a little more expensive. But please dont praise Nintendo, the Wii is just a new controller and thats it besides that you have yourself a Gamecube.
