Wait....15 official Sony Games, and 100+ 3rd Party Games...Sounds like Sony doesn't really have as much faith as it used to in its consoles. I love this quote..".in time people will forget about these articles and the time when PS3 had not too many games cause they will be all confused on which game to play and which on to buy next! It's gonna be madness I tell you!!!" Its moments like this that make me realize how much I miss arguing over which console is better lol.. Seriously, I don't own any NEXT GEN console, Mainly because I just can't justify spending that much money on games that I'm going to just stick on the shelf, or resell for lesser value in about 3 days. But in all respect, it wasn't as if Sony called the PS3 a gamble, they just were stating very simply that its a win or lose situation when you launch ANYTHING like this... However..They are rather full of themselves to base the Price of the console and games on their former success.

yay for us ps3 fanboys. 100+ 3rd party ports of x360 games. That are glitchy and have lower resolutions than the originals. Yah!

Unlike PS3 xbox360 could lower its price to say 250? Because games would balance things... But sony? with its 15 games ;) I smell a price cut in 3 years maybe

PS3 is insanely hard and long to develop for despite its advertised power, add to it the cost and lack of audience = developers look away, no exclusivity.

Every console launch lacks games...in time people will forget about these articles and the time when PS3 had not too many games cause they will be all confused on which game to play and which on to buy next! It's gonna be madness I tell you!!! PS3 ALL THE WAY BABY!!!

They should have done the xbox thing and had it as an addon sometime later when the tech behind the blueray would have been cheaper to make and not the insane price of 1000bucks+. That way the base unit is cheaper more people can afford it more units are sold more devs want to make games for it. at the mo alot of devs are looking to the 360 and wii to make them money since theres a shed load more units so more chance there going to make profit

Yeah, i think sony wanted to go all out on the PS3, but i think now more then ever they are realizing that the games make up console sales not the hardware, which is good because you will see them focus on that a lot more now

well Anonymous at 6:37, i think the blueray drive in the PS3 is awesome, sure it makes it alot more expensive but heck i can go get a PS3 for 900AUD, which will play Blueray movies and games rather then buying a blueray player which is gonna cost me 1300AUD. HD DVD is crap, i want the best in technology not secound rate.

It didn't have to be a gamble though. They could have done away with the sh*tty ass blu-ray drive, knocked £100 off the price and released the damn thing on time.Oh and actually released it with some decent games!
