Its just a stupid idea

I'm sure Nintendo thought this through, but if you want to speculate you can say one thing for sure. It's in Microsoft's best interest to make sure THQ makes good and viable versions of these games on the handheld.

Good versions will not just mean the small money they'd get from sales of the game itself, but also help to sway the grey area market of GBA players (Which probably includes people from all consoles) into wanting to go out and get the console versions of these games.

If THQ craps out like most developers seem to do when it comes to GBA then then it could hurt the sales of Xbox (Not outragiously mind you) and leave the game in the bargin bin for years to come.

Either way, Nintendo gets money off the deal that they most likely influse into being able to hold out against Microsoft and Sony in the console war.

I really don't think Microsoft will destroy Nintendo or infiltrate them...lol. They have been in this business too long to fall for that one. If anything, it begins to show the problems Microsoft is having with sales world-wide with the X-BOX. This only puts more $$$$$ in Nintendo's pocket. And that's why Nintendo is making a killing. GBA and the Cube is making great market share for them. Nintendo does not need X-BOX titles too save the GBA from destruction...it is selling better then all the consoles....just like the game boy. This is just a perk for Nintendo, and a must for Microsoft and the X-BOX to get more exposure.

HAHAHAH nice conspiracies but a bit exxagerated.

Ok Heres the deal... M$ or Nintendo will not be destoryed by this venture. I dont mind some of the games ported 2 GBA but any alliance or larger joint venture will hurt Nintendo the most because they will b bullied by the much bigger M$.

i'm not that excited about this idea, because if Nintendo does a little smart spin, then it is possible in some way that they can shut down MS. But then again, this could be MS way of infiltrating Nintendo and ultimately destroy them. Either way, its not good... Maybe we can develope a games based around this story...

only time will tell so dont speculate 2 much cause ur dreams could pop. It aint impossible 4 them 2 do so but i doubt it.

Also where did u hear that Rare hasnt denied the claims... they sed they will b keepin their relationship with Nintendo close for now and the near future. What they denied is that they wont work on other platforms in the future since a lot can happen in between.
Things change, Nintendo could go bankrupt (highly unlikely but who knows), Nintendo may sell its 50% ownership and Rare may not renew its contract....

Just read that Rare has had the ps2 dev kit for about 3 months now from some pretty reliable sources and that they are working on a game for the ps2. yay.

Can't trust nintendo on rare's exclusitivity. And Rare doesn't affirm nor deny the fact that they may go multiplatform.

PS mags know jack shit

Go 2 an official Rare/Nintendo site and itll show Rare wont make a game for PS2

X Box will b around 4 a while -> $$$ They havnt pulled out cause M$ made a $700 mil loss from X Box this fiscal year and if they pull out now, all that money would b wasted. 3-4 years X box may pick up due 2 its brute power + Hard Drive

God...now...shitty games in handheld systems, this guys really dont know whan to quit!,now they want to put their gay games on a good system!,f**k you fags from microshit!

HAHA,This just proves the Micro$oft is sucking ass in Xbox sales. Now they will give money to the gods at Nintendo..Go Nintendo..Oh,and just too let you know,Rare is still second party, not 3rd :)(they actually confired its not true at some convention thingy).

Spencer

Nintendo's grasp on Rare is weakening. OPM(official playstation magazine) says that there will be several games from rare on the PS2.

Xbox is like the dreamcast. It's a great concept, it has all the right features to make it a great system, but the way it's handled, it will surely be another third party system in three or four years.

Yeap.... but THQ should also make games for the GCN if they knew what was good for them: Link up of the GCN to GBA advanced....
but M$ does have a leash around them... same as Rare and Nintendo. I know that if Rare was set free.... theyd tripple there revenues

Hawk

Yeah, if there's one safe system, its the GBA. "Alliance" is a strong word, though. I think this move comes because M$ and THQ see that they can make money off previously made game concepts on another system without hurting sales to their own. And GBA is the easiest to make money off of because of the lower cost of game development.

p00_p00

Sounds pretty good that Nintendo can produce some games on GBA from M$.... but i doubt an alliance will b formed....I know Nintendo will suffer if it did.
