I pride myself saying that because I'm a 3d artist and a former employee of IBM, I can tell you from a professional stand point consoles will never rival pc no matter the bull you read or are fed. PC's are great for a variety of tasks ...but Consoles rule for playing games with a vast selection of excellent releases. The exception here is the Wii ...the majority of it's games are shovelware. It's primary selling point is the controller gimmick ...which is also the major thing that is holding it back. What Nintendo doesn't realize is that only idiots/noobs are buying the system. The problem is eventually it will get to the last idiot/noob ...then sales will plumment.

I have 3 friends with the original Xbox and 3 of them are not working for different reasons. My PS2 is working just fine after about 5 years and thats after i bought it used!!!!!!
My friends with broken Xboxes have 360s now and 2 of 3 are dead after 1year i predict that the last one will RROD as well.. this is how M$ does things.. its not just with the 360

i have an original xbox(was free, and its chipped)a ps3,a wii, ds,psp,2 laptops and a decent gaming pc, i dont play games on anything but the pc, the rest are for my Children! :-)

annoy 20:23. The Wii sux and is behind. They sell well because A. its 250. B. Nintendo is making a 50 dollar profit on each one they sell. And the Wii just reminds me of the good ole days of N64. But in no way is it a nxt gen nor is it anything great. Its a console that tells u if u never owned N64 or game cube, then u got own the WII.

the console platform are crap, s**t the gameplay is like s**t with tha F***ing gamepad (it only works on racing game) and ther few to non real games with good gameplay ... yeah ther are some with story ( aka Halo, Gears of War ... ) but graphics are slopy ... the graphics are very under PC because of the limited hardware ( at least you can upgrade a PC ) ... even my laptop can game a lot better then your F***ing CRAP CONSOLES ... get a real gaming machine you idiots ... buy a PC. PC is here FOREVER BECAUSE WE ( REAL GAMERS ) WANT IT TO STAY.

The Wii, PSP/DS and PC are the only gaming platforms that are actually worth a damn. The Wii dominates the casual gaming market, while the PSP/DS do the same for the portable platform market. PS3/360 fail as hardcore gaming platforms, and will always be behind PCs.

The true moral of the story is this: just like Microsoft trying to cheap out on designing their console right in the first place and losing in the end, console buyers are losing out like idiots by buying the cheaper Xbox360 when a real machine like the PS3 is superior in everyway. it doesn't have the game library yet, but it's growing, and there is a higher percent of high-rating games for PS3 than either Wii or that piece of crap 360. honestly, who in their right mind buys a console with a 33% gauruntee of failure right out of the box? i guess no one ever said Xbox owners were smart
