Who seriously cares if they are outselling the others? The wii is bought by ppl that either know nothing about gaming and see this thing as a bit of fun so never buy more than a couple of games,or is bought by ppl that wish they were able to afford a ps3 or 360.The wii consoles have sold a lot but in 90% of homes they gather dust after the initial novelty has worn off.
I`ll continue enjoying my pc,ps3 and 360 whilst nintendo tries to sell some more novelty games and controllers to those casual gamers that know fck all about what they are buying.

How is that possible when no store can keep them in stock? I hadn't thought they made enough to sell more than PS3 and X-Box... good for them though. :) It took me a week to find one when I wanted to get one last year... had to buy used from Gamestop.

It's funny how console news brings out the fan boys with their need to bash a system because it doesn't follow the pattern of updated graphics and power. The wii is different experience and approach to gaming. Sometimes you need something unique in order to revolutionize the industry. Sony and MS recognize this, and are trying to develop the interactivity for their systems. So it's no wonder why the Wii is on top right now.

Sales serve to prove that nintendo pays attentio to it's market making products that consumers actually want to buy. Unlike sony that thought they could market their grill-system as an entertaiment-system and sell it for €600.Each console has it's proper niche but while wii is more universal ('cause every player sometimes is forced to play casually) ps3 is better for people that can sit down for 90min cinematics or little kids that enjoy flashing pretty lights. But I rather enjoy seeing all the EXTREME LEET FANBOYZORS talking down to wii fans.. they're cute.

This only proves there are more casual gamers than serious gamersOf course the immature adults and those lil kiddies are gonna go for the console with the most "classic" gaming appeal (Eg: Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Pong, etc..) and the one that suits their primitive minds ("Ooohh look motion sensing WOOOWW! It's like I'm really playing tennis") Serious Gamers turn to the PS3, because of course it's the most powerful and has the best FPS's imo and the most advanced features of any of the consoles.
It's not just a game console it's a proper entertainment unit.
The Wii on the other hand is a glorified Gameboy. Sales mean fk all, they mean just that, more profit for Nintendo
They don't mean one console is necessarily better than the others.

the 360 was the first consoel to sell 10 million unit in the united states, and this happend like a month ago. this week the wii has sold like 10.5 million and passed the xbox360 in total sales.

The title should be "Wii Sales Surpass Xbox 360 in USA". I don't know why they even mentioned the PS3 since the Wii outsold it from day 1.
