This is why morons say "The Gamecube can never be as good cos it's only got 1.5Gb of storage per disc". Have you seen the size of some GC games ? A lot of PS2 (and PC to some extent) games simply fill the extra 4.5Gb with video footage. That does not improve the gameplay, though some people might find it impressive and will rush out to buy a game purely on the merit of some FMV sequence. Bigger fools them. There are some awesome games out there now on PS2, GC, PC. There is still a talent for writing great games out there. But don't be fooled by reams of flashy presentation. I have heard some of you talk about how the 1.5 Gb disk is a dumb idea lets just point out answers as i go. You know nothing about game development the 1.5 disc are fine plenty of room. You can actuall fit around 6 GB on that disk it just has to be compressed. Second of all you said that one company was gonna suffer in 2006. I disagree they all will suffer. sales on the old systems will drop due to new technology and the the sales on the new ones will be shattered due to people not knowing which system they want. Also, I'm not too fond of how GameCube is depicted as the "poor" console of the industry, when it's in fact in second place in the world when it comes to console sales, and it certainly caught up to the XBox here in the U.S. Finally, N5 doesn't necessarily need to be released before the competition, but rather just before PS3, and they don't need to get dependent on the structure of its release to have a bright spot on the market, because they already do. PS2 was released in Japan in 1999 and 2000 in North America, thats a really long time man. The reason why GC doesnt have as much games is because the GC uses mini-disc's as to the DVD disc's that are for the Xbox and PS2 which helps make it easier to port the game but the GC uses a different format of disc so its harder to port the game over. I have a GC and PS2 and got many awsome games for PS2 but hopefully, the GC will have awsome games in its life span. Just got Knockout Kings 2003 for GC (exclusive for GC) and must say, its 1 hella of a boxing game. For Nintendo's next system tho, it would be very smart if you can play your GC games on there next generation console. Sony's PS3 will beable to play PS2 games which is very smart but it wont play PS1 games because at that time, PS1 is way too old. Though only ports the gamecube has a lot more third party support than the 64 did.
