Doom 3 was a great disappointment, the graphics did not make up for the shitty gameplay. Halo 1 on the other hand, was a great game and not because of the graphics. Doom 3 will be on XBOX, but I won't touch it. Halo 2 will be on PC, even though it will probably take a year to port it so microsoft can get more people to buy an xbox. The GPU in an xbox is not a geforce II. It is a modified processor that looks most like geforce 3 and 4, except for the fact that it has an extra vertex shader. The Xbox has been designed to be able to pump through more polygons than most of todays PC games do, as shown in games like ninja gaiden and dead or alive, so claiming the xbox has shitty graphics is just making a fool out of yourself. I love it(no im not weird) its the best console i ever had(though i only had nintendo 8bit, and sega megadrive but it was not hard to choose when i had the budget of getting myself a new console. Anonymous at 10:12 25/8/2004 ok i had a consol and lets get things straight. for the money to power ratio you could never do the same for a pc. a console (even when it first comes out) is incredibly cheap for what you get. now saying this, a console can never match a pc for visual effect, even when it is brand new. everything is made on a pc with emulators to bring it back to a console. there for a pc will always be better but will cost you 4 to 6 times the money (when the console is new) so for the average gamer who does not have 3 to 5 thousand dollars to spend on a pc a console will just do fine. will doom 3 look diffent from pc to xbox?? try it at home right now and see what you will get. most highend pc video cards come with tv out. your set up should be no higher than 800 X 600 res.(it will probably be more like 640 X 480) with settings being on medium to low and the advance with alot of no... now this sounds bad but you might just be surprised on how it looks on a tv (what is bad on a monitor might not be as bad on a tv) huff_diggler at 7:54 25/8/2004 total agreement... i just don't think it will be massivley different. diealot at 6:54 25/8/2004 I am a PC owner, but consoles have their place to. I played the game at Best Buy on a Sony pc with an equivalent cpu, but using an Nvidia FX5200, and the game CHUGGED (even @ 640x480, low quality video setting, all effects turned off).
