halo2 single player is more of a movie then a game, what were the makers of halo2 thinking? they think they are some supper good story tellers and are trying to make a game into a movie... a movie that is long and boring. make a game not a boring movie/game. the first halo was probably the best game ever made... by man. the only thing i like about his game is playing on LAN

its a good game. i dont know why ppl are complaining. sp is pretty fun. i think its just as good as the first. i thought it was going be a lot longer compared to the first, but still a grade A game. if you thought normal wasnt chanllenging enough, play it on heroic or legendary. great stuff

too the two guys talkin about why halo did bad on pc, two words... BAD CONVERSION even on top spec pc's you cant play it over 800 x600 res at a decent frame rate. the lighting effects are shite, the textures are no were near as detailed as the xbox version its a real shame cos its one hell of a game..

Halo two is amazing little things like being able to duel weild almost every gun you find, the laffs at jumping on a covent hover bike then booting the driver out and driving off, its amazing id strongly recomend this too anyone
all these little features make it more intreasting than the reptitive nature of doom3 and half life

Just got back from EB to pick up my copy of bloodlines. The cashier said that several people have already brought back Halo 2. All I can say is WOW. After all these people telling me it was going to be the best game ever, and now they are returning it. I'm sure it's a good game for anyone who DIDN'T read every little detail about the game before it came out, but I guess too many people got hooked up in the hype. As I like to say:Keep games fun, Stop hype!

I was very happy when I first stared at that collecters edtion cover which I was looking for about 3 hours in shops, and then I completed it.
It is so short and the environment is terrible I was hoping for that city level in the e3 2003 video bungie showed but I guess the multiplayer adds up for it.
And was anyone else pissed of by that shit demon character?

Bad move by microsoft by making this game only Xbox. Hl2 will have mods coming out for it even 6 years from now. hl2 will not need a sequel for 6 more years, halo 2 will have a sequel in 3 or 4

Everybody is freaking out over Halo 2 when in reality this game rates as a boil on the @$$ of Half-Life 2. Don't get me wrong...Halo is a great game just not on the same level that Half-Life 2 is a great game.

seriously, i have an xbox, a ps2, a gamecube and a pretty decent pc (p4 3.2 prescott, 1gb pc400, 5 hdds[1 160 gb 2 120 and 1 80gb all 7200rpm] and a ati 9800 pro). i've also got most of the older systems and those that i've donated to my younger siblings have been replaced with appropriate emulators for my pc. what i don't understand is fanboys...i never got it when i worked in a comic shop, and i don't get it with console vs. pc fanboys, and i definately don't get it with console vs. console fanboys. it's about the games people. that's all it's ever been about. if you can't afford all of the systems and keep an updated pc, that's your problem. it's not a reason to flame people who like games that you can't (or don't want to) play. there is enough animosity in this world now without having gamers attack each other. now on the topic of halo 2 vs. half life 2...i've played halo 2, and even with it's shortcomings it's still an amusing game on various levels. now although i haven't played half life 2 i know it will be at least as good as anything that has come out in the last few months (ie. farcry, painkiller, halo 2, etc.). my only piece of advice is to at least play the game prior to flaming...in the end that's all anyone can ever ask.

God.. just over 2 days left i'm going nuts waiting for the game. Just when you think you can wait for years suddenly the release date rolls by and every five minites becomes an eternity. On the bright side i get to play halo2 online while i wait.

True but keep in mind the PC rivalrys are much tougher than the xbox. Halo2 would be standing up there with the big league. PC->console is easyer it's more likely you'll see a xbox version of Hl2 before you will see Halo2 port on the pc.

this is quite odd, i see alot of PC fanboys and alot of Xbox fanboys here; no real discussion at all...at any rate, Half-Life 2 and Halo 2 should be compared because they are both first person shooters. Half-Life 2's rating on game rankings isnt even proper yet, because only 5 magazines have reviewed it; not the torrent of online reviewers that will hit when it gets released. this game _will_ be better on PC, as both the online and singleplayer experience will be enhanced not only by a better control scheme; but by extra support from bungie unlike anything you see them do for the xbox. Halo 2 looks amazing and has had a great reception my reviewers and gamers, every game has its drawbacks; dont act like Halo 2's drawbacks make the game shit. Dont forget the anticipation of Resident Evil 4 and Metroid Prime 2 : Echoes for the Gamecube. Well I got my copy of halo 2 straight after work, I think it was worth my $100(New Zealand Dollars). It does have it problems like parts of the stage that seem almost identical, Graphical glitches and few other minors. But I don't think it is the same as halo 1, it story was explained alot better through cutscenes, and fighting with a group friendly marines was alot more fun this time around! But I'm pretty sure HL2 will have these features and alot more, but thats what you get with a PC. And I cant wait to get my copy HL2

Is Microsoft that desparate to release Halo 2 this early with little difference from the first game?Is it because Firefox is beating the crap out of IE that Microsoft is afraid to lose a couple of millions by releasing Halo 2 from hungry Xbox owners? If Bungie had more time with this game, my $50 would have been justified by this sequel. Like I said before, HALO 2 was more of an expansion than a sequel.

Playing Halo 2 on XBox LIve is awesome. I have been playing it everynight till the sun rays burn my eyes through the window. Lots of Game modes to play. Im curently trying to get my stats up in all the Multipler modes. LOL, a lot of people suck at Halo 2 multipler. Its fun kicken the crap out of them. Bungie did a good job making Halo 2 work so well wtih XBL.oh yeah.. HL2 can suck a di*k

Since halo2 multiplayer is being discussed i would like to mention that with HL(cs) you can already see the CS:S servers(a steam released mod for Half-life2) most being around 42 filled with low ping some dedicated servers reaching 64 with that same ping whats more astonishing is the source engine can support up to 150 people. That's fairly mind boggling from halo2's 16 player servers. Of course that wont stop you from having fun but.. food for thought eh?

lol nothing could bury Half Life 2 :p the greatness of Half Life 2 is its replay value thanks to the amazing HL-Mod community, and when you wanna gun with friends online.Halo2 is for when you call over the guys to duke it out with controllers and straight up smack-talking. Of course, being right there with each other makes Halo2 the more entertaining of the two, but is about 10000x harder to set up a game when everyone has some spare time rather than just connecting to a server whenever besides, Halo 2 is the best FPS possible, ever out for a console HL2 is going to be amazing for PC, and is the best plot-based shooter I own both, waiting to recieve Halo2 and already have Half Life 2 ordered so I get it the minute it comes out.
