X-BOX 360 already blew out PS3 out of the top since the first X-BOX came out. PS2 had only 2 players and is so thin and cheap, my friend has a ps3 and its not as fast as X-Box was. X-Box has alot of memory for free, 4 players, inline release sowhen someone walks by, the game pauses and everything is where it was except the controller in your hand,that is sweet so your system wont fall and break.
Over X-BOX 360 is going to be double the power it is. FACT IS X-BOX IS NOT GOING TO TO BE AS EXPENSIVE AS PS3 WOULD BE AND IS GONING TO BE OUT EARLIER NOT LETTING U WAIT NO MORE!!!

Look Microsoft is useless. Alls they do is talk. Longhorn takes forever to be released they lie about every release date for years than they make excuses of why they are dumbing it down and not putting in certain features. The demos of longhorn are a waste of time very unimpressive. Microsoft really has all the money yet they dont really show much of a product for several years. Apples os blows the socks off our windows xp operating system. They produce numerous updates every 3-6months yet its taken years for microsoft too produce nothing..Now really do any of you have any real faith in microsoft. The xbxo360 will produce the same damn games that can be done already on xbox and they will milk the BORING HALO title until no one buys it.

This is actually even better or equal to two 6800 Ultra cards in SLI which kinds of makes it looks ridiculously fast. Imagine R520 in Crossfire, what ATI "cool chap" described as "Coolest technology ever" could do? Just double the number please." Until Nvidia releases the G80 or G70 refresh late in 2006, The R520 will beat it out right.

I did not state which console was best. i said i'd buy ps3, and wont buy x360 nor revolution as they failed to impress me. its only logical that nintendos console will be the weakest, because its too dam small. not only that, but Nintendo's president said they did not care to compete with power and the same crap about power is not everything so if they release a stronger or up par console they would be hypocrites. I dont look games of consoles but of brands, so if i like square enix or campcom i buy the game that is why i own all 3 consoles. there is NO nintendo game, except LoZ a link to the past, that provides me enough fun to continue playing. and nintendo is by far the most arrogant company, cause they feel they are they only one's good enough for gaming, they only one's that provide the fun and only them............

what are u talking about? ATi is better in every way. Their architecture is better, their next gen card just rapes nvidia's in the ass so badly, its not even comparable how much better it is. For next gen, the only thing thats gonna hold nvidia together is SLI or making their cards worth like $200 for top of the line cards, which wont happen

All i can say is that Im getting the revolution because all the best games for ps2 and xbox are usually out for pc so I suposse it'll be the same but you'll never see any mario or zelda out for pc anyways the nintendo is the cheapest so I'll have more money for games.lol

i will end buying ps3 only ans xbox 360 failed to impress me and revolution simply dissapointed me so much.'umb, yea, they the only arrogant ones *rolls eyes* to me, its pointless saying ps3 is better, as none are released, remember the hype sony made of the ps2? i remember gaming magazines stating that sony are considering banning the ps2 from irak and such because it has enough power to launch nuclear missles, well, they also failed to mentioned a spectrum sincliar also has that capability, and infact, less powrful machines used to launch such missles sony to me always over hype there products, whats with Finaly fantasy and grandturismo, ff loooks great because theres nothing to render, gran turismo is realistic because you can race at 400k/ph hit the computer, computer glues its self back on track at the same speed, u slide sidways off track then carry on without a scratch? oh wow, if u want realism go and buy a copy of flatout, i don't think i've ever played a game with such amazing physics nitendo games are always fun and don't loose there playablity i find, even today i can play mariokart 64 with a few friends and have hours of fun, theres no games on ps that i still like to play apart from gta, xbox has halo which i think is fun with friends, but better on the pc anyway in result of my bitching, i want a third party company to come along and play ps2/xbox games, i don't mind giving money to nitendo, they don't seem to concentrate on making the opposition look stupid, i would happily pay money for a console that could play xbox 2/ps3 games even the graphics weren't as good as the original consoles, afterall, whats the point of having amazing eyecandy, if all u can do is run around in circles, ooo fun :p

actually, for u ps3 fanboys, xbox360 is more powerful in gfx, and at launch, the cpu will be more powerful because the cell is so new, developers cant yet access its full power. The only thing more powerful is the faster ram, which nobody cares about. So basically, xbox360 will be better until about 1-2 years minimum after ps3's release.

"To the victor, reaps all the spoils" Toshiba has just created a three-layer HD-DVD-ROM with a 45-Gbyte capacity. Blu-ray's dual-layer disk holds 50 Gbytes; the standard two-layer HD-DVD-ROM holds 30. But with the 45-Gbyte version, the HD-DVD format would offer scalability from 15 to 45 Gbytes of storage.
However...there always seems to be a "however" lol...TDK Corp., a Blu-ray Disc Association member, said it is working on a four-layer disk with a 100-Gbyte capacity. Hmmmmmm.
But now this to put a damper on that...if TDK can even do that.
Holographic Versatile Disc was announced last month! That format will support mammoth 200GB media when it launches in the fourth quarter of this year...posing a direct challenge to blue-laser-based storage formats like Blu-ray and HD-DVD. Hows that for technology. How's that for a kick in the teeth. Soon as HD-DVD and BlueRay are released...can you say, O-B-S-O-L-E-T-E...LOL.
Personally, I put smart money on HD-DVD because it will hit the market almost 6 months to 1 full year ahead of BLU-RAY. Moreover, HD-DVD has a critical viable follow-on because it maintains continuity with the legacy DVD spec and thus can make full use of the present production infrastructure. In otherwords, the manufacturing process is already in place. First to the market, first to the finish line as they say. We will see if once again Sony's visual format and technology will find it's way holding hands with it's cousin BETA and MINI. How uses MINI players these days? Cse in point. Regardless of the result, we have HVD hiding in the shadows to rain on their parade.
It's always interesting to come back to these forums. Nothing has changed. Still the flaming and 12 year old fanboys. lo

Micro$oft are clearly pissed off that sony is using blu ray! Why?..well blu ray is backwards compatable with the cds and dvds we use today (and so clearly NOT a risk micro$oft say it is! ) so there is no need to have a seperate player for all the old disks you have + you get to have 25GB of films, data, music or whatever on those blu ray disks!

doo consoles use only one game engine for every game or will they be running HL2 and doom 3 type games(diffrent engines). i know theres at least 5 or so games in production using the source engine comin out for pc.

Everybody is talking about ATI's graphics processorBut i am wondering how many transistors ATI will use... Pipelines are important but the transistors is also an important aspect too I think the Nvidia's graphics for PS3 will own ati this time because the number of transistors they have..almost as many as the whole x360 console

After all they are the ones making money, can you believe Nintendo is making about the same cash as all sony division togheter? (movies, hardware, games) you better cause it's the truth. Nintendo still only has about 10% of the videogameconsole space, and they are still the ones owning the competion in proffit. Microsofts entertainment division have also had massive loses. keep pumping guys you won't hurt nintendo...

i will end buying ps3 only ans xbox 360 failed to impress me and revolution simply dissapointed me so much.btw x360 does not have an r500 varian or vi card, is infact a special designed GFX chipset with i belive 48 pipes/shaders. it seems to be unified and all 48 can do either pipeline or vertx shader. ps3 is the most powerful but x360 is not far behind so it wont matter too much.
Nintendos constant gameplay over graphix is getting to my nervers, are they thinking THEY are the ONLY ones making gameplay? lame lame lame. btw i was wondering, nintendos downloadable games will include thirparty titles? such as Mario RPG legend of 7 stars and such?

the part where microsoft says sony didn't show anything more powerful...I think he was talking about the fact that the ps3 demo was virtually all pre-rendered stuff, instead of in game graphics. Although ut2007 was awsome (although epic says it looks just as good on the xbox360), and the thing with the eye-toy and the cups was amazing (we'll see if they put it into any games). When people are saying that sony is way more powerful, though, it's because they're believing that the killzone video actually was in game graphics, which it was not.

I will get the Revoltuion. I wil pass on theXbox and PS3. Reason. I plan to over haul my PC in 2006. So i wil have a decent PC with a console that's differnt from the rest. Pc's by then will have blueRay(which will most likely end up like beta because of cost.) and i plan on running a next generation AIW card using the R520 chipset. That satisfies my multi-media issues.
This is typical of all Console companies. I like nintendo's model though. Console just for gaming. I don't need a console to surf the web...play DVD's. LISTEN TO MUSIC..ETC. My PC can do that hooked up to my entertainment system. The PS3 will cost too much to add all those features in when my pc will do that better. That's just me. As for Sony claiming MS is a rookie Martial artist taking on a pro. lmao. Too funny. However, if Sony knows anything about MS. They better watch tehmselves. MS in the long run will win this war i believe because of their alomst unlimited resources. Bill has never been one not to outspend the competiton.
