I started off with the good ol' atari way back when I was a wee little kid. Then I was introduced to the wonders of super mario on the NES, since then I've been hooked with games such as Super C and River City Ransom. I am looking forward to the day that games will be full immersion with chips that allow virtual reality

sega master system.. sigh, old memoriesI remember i had bought ps1 because i thought Resident Evil was a brilliant followup of Alone in the Dark series. I was wrong eventually but still was a good console. Nothing too revolutionary though as with all the consoles going from 1 generation to another. Streets of Rage II is still one of my favorites..

I don't remember anything ground-breaking about the psx.All of the psx games that stand out to me were just sequels of snes games. When I first played the Japanese version of Mario 64 (local video store imported one at the launch date) I remember being truly blown away. That, to me, was groundbreaking. And, I was also already playing 3-D PC games years before that. First system - pong First PC - Tandy TRS80 Most recent system purchase - Neo Geo AES

i'm glad the PSX got an award but whoever wrote this article has no idea what english grammar is. Where is a word you use when you're asking a place (I.E. Where do you live). Were is a past-tense word (Were you sick yesterday?). I'm sure Megagames is far smarter than this

The PSOne was a great console, no way near as fun as the Megadrive, but still, it introduced me to 3D gaming in 1996, i'll never forget how amazed I was when I first played on it, i'll never forget that.

wow lots of nostalgia on here, im 15 now and my first console i got when i was 4 my snes and first pc was when i was 5-6 it was a pentium 75mhz greatest thing that happened in my life, lol (relives doom moments). If you think about the games industry as a whole, it puts a picture on the PS ownz xbox and xbox ownz PS lark and you can see how pathetic it really is

i was playing pc games back in the early 90's about the same time i got a mega drive. and the pc kicked the a** of it. when the playstation was realesed that shifted away from pc supremacy but only for about 6 months the same is true for ps2 and prob ps3 its just a cycle.

n64 kicked the crap out of the playstation... but all you really have to say is where is nintendo today? I thought I heard f a revolution... Nah, just some junk system with a remote for a controller.

Its all very well and good to say that the Sega Saturn got there first but if you go onto the street and ask people to name a console from the 90's, who is going to say "Sega Saturn"? The console was a joke. Playstation was a contemporary and did the job 100 times better. Emmy well deserved as far as I can see. (My Dad bought me one for Xmas '96)

To be a pioneer is to be the first. Whether people like it or not, the Sega Saturn was out a year before the Playstation and the Sega 32X even before that. These consoles pioneered the polygon generation, not the PS. The playstation was a little later on the scene. If Sega got their marketing right, it'll be those consoles we'd be hailing right now.

I started off with a ZX81 back in the early eighties and have been an avid gamer ever since. The original Playstation was fantastic, with some amazing games and it is still a great console.

My First Time, was when i was 5or6, on an Asian NES/Master System Knock Off called Megason. lots of a hundred in one games, myfirst game was some sega ninja game. i was too young to remember. All the Years later, i almostbought a saturn, instead of a PSX, cause of Area 51 arcade game. i'm glad i made the right choice, i think.i wore out two playstations, i'm on my third PSONE withLCD and SECOND PS2.

I started when I was 7. Chrizzi Day got me a Atari 2600 > Sega MS > Sega MD (Genesis to the states) > Gameboy Orig > PC (386) > PC (P133) > N64 > PC (K6/2 500 - This turned into an upgrade machine which is now an AMD X2 4200+) > PS2 > Gameboy Adv SP > Sega DC (got a deal for £10 :)) > PSX (felt retro) > SNES > NES > Gameboy DS > Sony PSP. I run all my MS/GB/NES/SNES/MD-Gen games on emu's on the PSP now. I've been at this lark for 18 years and I get more into it every year. Long live the SNES - the best RPG machine yet :) Simple yet engrossing. Go Square - Squaresoft - Square-Enix.

Started gaming on my third christmas day on my Atari 2600 (I'm 21 now)About a year and half later (making me about 5 and a half) I got my first Atari ST, and a year later a better Atari ST. When I was 7 I got my first Amiga 500, which was then switched for the Amiga 1200 I think a year after that and the Amiga 600 (same spec as 1200 but half the size) the year after that. At 10 years old I got my first console (unfortunately selling the Amiga) the Sega Megadrive, couple months later got the floppy disc drive thing that everyone's dad said was rare as hell. 11 saw my first pc, a 133MHz pentium. Over the last 10 years I've upgraded/replaced my pc's building to the machine I have today. I think in terms of systems I've probably have 5 pc's (as in 5 different mobo's/CPUs) over the years and played all the best games. The only console I have owned since the Megadrive is the PS2, which was and still is the only one worth owning in my opinion.

I started off with the master system too, I loved afterburner. Then I went onto gameboy, snes, gameboy pocket, gameboy color, pc, dreamcast, gamecube, gameboy advance sp and finally ps2. I still can't believe I got almost all the gameboys, except for the first gba and the micro. (Even though I am tempted to buy it, just because it looks so cool)

Bought into gaming by my aunt Master System. Loved playing Alex the Kid! And Aerial Assault. Then got my own SNES upon released. Moved onto a Playstation after I got my N64 (which is odd). Have since gotten all the Gameboys/DS, PS2, XB, Cube. And now PC gaming. Am glad for the PSX getting an award. About time I say.

I started gaming on an Amstrad 464 PC. That used a tape to load games and I had to wait for 5 minutes for each one to load. Then I got two pixels which were my F1 car; those were the days...
