Sony doesnt feel it needs to make developer friendly tools, because when you try to make powerful hardware, you spend less time with how it's developed. Sony is still trying to make this thing work correctly. It's been that way since PS1 & continues with the revised "Micro" PS2. (Disc Read Error & Burn't out DVD Laser Lens Module). Sony has bragged about the PS2's large "User Base" ...yet doesn't acknowledge that approx. 50-60% of those in that Base have had to buy a 2nd & 3rd PS2 due to faulty/poorly built hardware. Talk to any large Game Chain store such as Gamestop & Electronic Boutique ...they will acknowledge the huge problem ...but Sony won't. Regardless ...myself & thousands of others have woken-up ...we will not pay $400-$500 for a PS3 ...that will break shortly after the warrenty expires. You Sony Fanboys should invest in the longest extended warranty you can buy @ the time of purchase for your PS3 ...you're probably really gonna need it. Xbox 360 & Nintendo Revolution get my money ! There will be a HD-DVD on the XBOX, wheather it be an add-on or a updated system refresh. PS3 might not launch with BLU-Ray because of this. I don't think MS paid Carmack to say anything, wasn't Doom 3 coded in OpenGL. So far as we know there is no PS3 just smoke, and Sony's stock has taken a bad beating. Look around the web man, you'll see that most developers are jumping on the 360 because it is easier to develop for. The 360 has a more powerful GPU so games will look better. But that's a bad thing because it will be much easier to carry games over from PC (same API).
