Buddy...Or should i say 12 year old fanboy, there is not one system on record that was destroyed by xboxlive updates. Keep fishing buddy. The one area MS has done well even if you dislike the Xbox is their online service. It currently is one of the best services out there. And yes. You have to pay for it. Maybe if some of you 12 year old fanboys got a part-time job you could get it too without sponging off mommy and daddy.

Yeah, it's well known that PCs always look better than consoles because they are easily upgradable. However, most PC games suck, and PC fiends suck it.

The benefit from Xbox live is it's weakness and it's strength. One service for all games. Witht he PC world, game developers have their own Multi-play system or others from Gamespy etc. However, some of those are quite buggy and problemtic at best. I have yet to witness this running Xbox live for more then 3 years now. I have though had various problems with online service for the certain PC games. However, some PC games offer superior online support. But this does not apply for all games. Xboxlive offers one service that is standard and bug free.

"the best online gaming system is xbox live" I fail to see how limiting the user to a single service could ever be considered better than total online freedom.

Anyone who buys a console as soon as it's released is a total dumbass. There are always issues with it, not to mention 1st generation titles are always medicore. This was the same issue with the Dreamcast..and especially the PS2. You should always wait until they iron out all the issues. This takes at least a year.

Oh and i can tell you..If they Release F.E.A.R for the XBOX360 it wil run almost for sure better then almost all mid-range PC's. Reason being the R500 inside the XBOX360 has the same GPU as the XTX1900XTX with one added feature. The R500 has 48 render pixel clock that are Unified. Perfect for shader intensive games. Only the XTX1900 has 48 pixel rendering per pixel clock pipes. But those are not unified.

I think you misunderstood what i was trying to say. You are 100% correct in saying that a High-End PC will always run games better then any console. This is what i have been saying. But those high-end PC's cost $2000+ while a XBOX360 costs $500. You cannot get the same kind of game play on a Mid-range pc as you do on the XBOX360 right now. Only a High-End PC will do that. That';s my point.

First, he was not implying to get a pc with same price tag as console but rather in general *a good pc*. second, a good pc runs CoD sooo much better and it looks far better thab xb360 version too. i'm sorry you don't have a pc good enough to see that. and speaking of good looking games overall, CoD is faaaar from the best looking game nor advanced in terms of physics of gfx. if you have a pc good enough to run Fear at very high settings with everything maxed out then you would know, but again being a console fanboy as you are you probably will never know nor admit. xb360 is a good gaming machine for the prices but its not anywhere close to a high end pc and its gaming performance, this has always been this way and will be. and i hate to break it to you, but pc gaming has been "hi-def" for a very long time, a new concept to console users and getting a hi-def tv will put you on the same price tag as a decent gaming pc but not anywhere near the performance or game detail.

When you can run games in a similar fashion as the Xbox360 on a PC that costs $500 then i will listen to you. No PC setup right now for under $2000+ can run games the way the Xbox360 can. Call of Duty is the Prime Example of this. That games runs butter smooth on the Xbox360. Unless you have 1 7800GTX or 2 7800GT's or better in SLI with fast memory and a fast CPU, you will not run that particular game as fast and smooth.

you cannot judge a console in its first year out. To do so makes you look insanely stupid. No system reaches it's full potential in it's first year. The N64, PS1, PS2, Xbox...none. It takes at least 2-3 years before developers can fully exploit the systems hardware. And the hardware inside the xbox360 more so the GPU is more advanced then teh G70 inside the PS3. Don't expect the PS3 to outperform the Xbox360 by leaps and bounds. It won't.

I seriously doubt that PS3 will outpreform Xbox over 30%, id say 10%.... Why ? Storys as Physics chip, what was it called PhysoX or whatever. first Xbox360 announces that they have it, then PS3 starts swetting, also needs one etc.either way, Whats the real story. Xbox1 outperforms PS2 by just as much and whats happening ? games are ported on both consoles, some get exclusively nice gfx for xbox others try take last whats there to take from PS2.... wawaawaaw

to Doom"The version of Blu-Ray that PS3 will use will rely heavily on the Cell processor and nVidia's RSX ". that sentence simply means that the blu-ray drive will mostly run off the RSX graphics board, and need only a few more transistors to work. therefore the price required to manufature extra parts if greatly decreased because the blu-ray drive can use existing parts of the PS3 to run.

I'd pay 600$ for this console. It sounds so much better than the medicar xbox360. Hell pc video cards cost over 700$ canadian. I think i'd rather get this entertainment unit than 1 boring pc card. As for this new news its all good. I'm dying to get my dirty hand son this baby. I got rid of my xbox360 3 weeks ago. Games were too boring. Yaya i know they will get better but some silly fool offered me 600$ for the console and i only paid 450$ it had no harddrive.
