Crysis, being a Vista optimized production, doesn't allow skipping in XP (as far as I've seen it, and I have both running here on two seperate pc's) Half Life 2, which is the other way around, Allows skipping in XP, but not in Vista. While I have nothing against people running current-gen games on old hardware, if they post that it runs great, they should provide the level of detail and fps they had. Some people never seen what certain games supposed to look like and think it looks good on their system. That deceives other people who were thinking of upgrading. If you don't mind your games looking s**tty, don't upgrade and get a console. Simple as that. Textures look like monkey as on anything lower than high settings. The game does scale but like someone said below, you need dx10 to truly see the gfx here. And dx10 isn't windowed by the way. you have to choose full screen in the options. The game did look great but gameplay was indeed flat. It was kinda gay how you can't skip any cinematics in the demo either. I'll probably buy it for the eye candy anyway tho. Also, DX9 Losses some of that s**t when playing multiplayer (full released game). Not just another last and blast FPS. The suit options (Cloak, strength, speed and armor) really added a whole new level to the game. You can play anyway you'd like.
