Back on topic: The wireless bandwidth in these upper Logitech mice actually EXCEED the bandwidth of USB. Is the MX1000 BT or just plain wireless btw? I find the BT has the shortest latency and longest range. Plus having a BT hub as a mouse charger is conveinient. The trackball ludites can go cram it, if you're predisposed to trackballs why mention how this mouse (as golden as it may be) isn't for you? The latency difference between MY cordless mouse and a corded mouse is 0. ZERO, there is no difference between them. What makes you think radiowaves going at the speed of EM radiation are going to go slower than the speed of an electron wave going at 0.93C? The difference between the two latency-wise is going to be in the time for hardware translation, which on a good mouse like mine is identical to a corded. As far as resolution goes, I would love to have a higher resolution mouse. Often times I can't physically put the pointer where I want it because it "ticks" over between two coordinates and I want it to exist in between. It's kinda unfortunate that this new mouse is going to give off all sorts of meaningless light. Currently a green flashing LED for charging is extremely annoying in the middle of the night.
