((unified shader model)) more performance all goes for nvidiaand later ATI will try to catch up with useless 128 processor units without unified shader more power consumnning and bigger fan ,,,, hmmmm guys Im not aginst ATI but just but it in your Mind if you have the money which card you will go for and the 150 $ less will goes into your elctrcity bill dont forget that if you are planning to spend all night playing..... Nvidia owns

Yeah this is why i didnt jump into the dx10 market when i built my latest rig in january.Holding out for 2nd gen dx10 cards and the other day got news of the nvidia G92 which should be out for xmas.
1 terabyte anyone?

This entire first generation is sh1t. Just look at tomshardware benchmarks for oblivion. At 1920x1200 the best card (8800 gtx) hits 28.7 fps. How fvcked up is that

You people are forgetting one thing - these things require lots n lots of juice to run. Electrity bill will just hit the freaking roof.These people should be slapped with a fine. Running a PC with 900W PSU with these babies on full throttle will kill all of us! The end of the world is nigh. NIGH I TELL U!!!!

cmon people ffs ive read all the tests on these cards weeks ago and all your speculation on the xtx and it beating the GTX is speculation on an already known fact that IT DOESN`T !
Ive been hoping it would have as i may have bought one then but hey fack it i`ll wait for the 2nd gen DX10 cards near the end of the year and get a REAL fast one

Now we see how many of the people here greatly over-estimated the power behind the new ATi cards. GeForce went for a unified shader model. :D

Great to see ATI's product finally out and its not too bad, saving $150+ on the nVidia GTX and around $300+ on the ultra its not performing that bad. Hope to see the XTX model to atleast challenge the nVidias GTX series.
