I actually work for a office depot currently and when we sell a PPP at my store we find about 50% of the customers dont need the plan in the long run but laptops arent invincible, we had a guy bring one back in pieces and because he bought the 174$ PPP he got another 890$ laptop. they are meant to offer long term insurance on products. you pay for insurance all your life and you might be a person who never needs it, but on the day something goes wrong you'll be glad U had it. also im proud because my manager doesnt force PPP's on customers. yeah my store! feel sorry 4 the olks working at the stores that have evil bosses.

Office Depot is greedy, but the problem is that the customers are greedy too. Thats how business works, if you don't like OD don't buy from them and eventually they make sink.

I don't see what the big deal is, these stores can choose what to sell and what not to sell.So they're doing it in a sleazy, roundabout manner, are you actually surprised?

LOL, consistent sales practices... got to love the wording. Not a single thing said indicates they admit to it as a problem or that they are going to rectify it. Pure GOLD!
