Firstly Intel wern't the only sponsor for the MTV awards the main sponsors were sony erricson carlsburg and then Intel.
Then maybe you should actually take the time to read my post I never said "AMD are coming over Intel and Intel are going to go bankrupt" but then again I am do know that they are loosing millions to AMD, now lets take something you said "Intel are the Future of Cpu's AND DOMINATE THE WORLD!" eeh wrong Intel will never dominate the world everyone who atleast has the brain of a pea knows that hardware doesn't rake in the dough software does and that would make Microsoft the world dominators. now I tink you should go and wead a widdle bit till your brain reaches the extent that it can share something useful in an intellectual arguement. need the right tools for the job.will never buy an intel again learn't once with a celeron never repeat your dumb mistake's oh and some more info i'm a dealer of this stuff and my cost price is R6500 for a P4 2GHZ R2900 for ATHLOX XP 1800 that leaves me with 3100 of which 2500 can buy me 2GB RAM Mushkin 2700 DDR and the extra 600 can be the difference between a GF2 Pro and a GF3. so now bring your 2GHZ P4 with like 128MB RIMM and the GF2 Pro which has now cost you an extra 2800 of which i'll have in my pocket to rig my case up with the most evil cooling solution man has ever seen plus have money for extras that I want mice etc. and then put those systems up against each other and we'll see (for the same price) how much of a bitch slap your P4 gets put that in your pipe and smoke it. oh yea and anyone want to flame me better have their stats up to scratch cause i'll take you apart in this field.

dude, some of you guys are just too lame to know what your talking about. Who gives a shit whos better between intel/amd, they both offer good CPUs. I personelly thought a AMD 1.33GHz athlon ran alot better then my Intel Pentium 4 1.6GHz, but then again, the AMD was running at 128 F which very much made my GeForce2 SGRAM heat up very badly. As youve seen already, a heat sink comes off a AMD, it fries, if it comes off a P4, the system has a slow down. pentiums are used for most servers while alot of companies dont even think of using AMDs. AMD outperforms a P4 in alot of things, but not all of them. P4 has multimedia/memory bandwidth better then the Athlon XP. Intel is compatible, reliable, fast, and stable. AMD is incredibly fast, not to reliable, some compatibility issues...overall stable (not as stable as my P4) So can you guys give the companys a break? they both make good shit. If anyone, Cyrix will follow 3dfx's path if not already has.

amds are a fire hazard if you are to dumb to put a fukn heatsink on. and dont forget that athlons started out at like 450 mhz and have been clocked to nearly 4 times as much. think or it like taking a 1.3ghz p4 and ocing it to 5ghz. athlons were built to compete against the p3 and ended up beating the p4..........thats just sad.

The rating number does not indicate the equivilant performance on an Intel system. It is a number dervived from how well the chip does in benchmarks. AMD is trying to set a standard of benchmarking processors so consumers don't see a P4 2Ghz and a AthlonXP 1.5GHz and automattically buy the P4, even though the XP beats the P4.

If you want to know how good P4 is, just look up an editorial that is on the net, it explains that the P4 will slow down to the clock speed of about 250, the architecture is skrewed up, and no matter what you hear, the P4 is NO GOOD!

First of all, AMD runs games and applicatations faster. Second, I feel sorry for the people who need to post how much better their processor is just so they can sleep at night cuz they got ripped off for a slower yet more expensive processor.Third... it really doesn't matter wich processor is a bit faster for most consumers but what does matter is the price(AMD wins in this case). Fourth, both processors are very similar( I believe AMD and Intel use to be the same company) so speeds will always be close but the price won't.... and if you go by the old saying "you get what you pay for" you are a complete idiot.

After, I go to www.TOMSHARDWARE.com I discover one thing: the Teste for AMD and INTEL is in the game 3d Only (like Quake 3 Area and Unreal Tournament). That speed tested there is depending on your Video Card. Why did they don't teste in graphique/design speed?
AMD => POOR GAMER (who play game and don't make money)
INTEL => GOOD GAMER AND CAN MAKE MONEY
Just saw what happen in 2 years when Intel out they 20 MHZ

Did you know AMD chip is make alot heat in your PC during power active?
If no, So you must expected that all server of gamer aren't using AMD because that reason. Futur, thing that those heat can affect your video card and other.. Intel expensive but it make few heat. Good for any PC who want open whole day. Only PC at Home using AMD but not in Business. Because they are too poor for buying an INTEL chip. AMD is the BEST for those POOR GAMER who told AMD GOOD.

If a pentium 3 beats an athlon 1.4gig and an athlon 1.4gig beats a pentium4 2gig that says a lot about Intel's progress doesn't it!!
It seems they are the ones following 3dfx' path. The only reason pentiums are still in the competition is because of Quake3's superior support for pentiums. Come on! Thats the only thing pentiums are good at. I wonder how much Intel's been paying Carmack?

Intel Sux, The 1.8 Ghz P4 is NOT EVEN CLOSE TO COMPETITION. peopel are just dumb, and AMD hasn't really made much of an attempt to Advertise, taht the only reason anyone, anywhere, with what ever IQ would brag about some kinda Intel Chip. However, yea teh FSB will only be 266, but the Modified Owner Cache Coherency Protocol included in teh XP and the MP will rule all!
