I hope the Movie turns out nicely, I am a big fan of MOst Game-Movie MOvies...but have been let down everytime (dooms FPV first person view was a great hit for me) other then that not the BEST).....I am tired of CGI Final FAntasy with ppl defying gravity and cutting through buildings....make a real life adaption of final fantasy.....Resident evil was a turn for the better but not great....
so maybe now the SH makers will take this all in and make a great movie learning from others mistakes.....I think though it should be a make of SH1 with the lead character being Harry and his daughter..... but they are the creators i hope the best from this

I am positive this movie will be awesome..look at the pictures and u know they put alot of time and effor it this film.. i read a interview they had with one of the producers and he explained how its revolved around the first SH hill but has elements of SH2 and SH3..The movie will be precisley 110 minutes and the music will be contributed by the person whos proposed the music for all the silent hills.. i cant wait for this movie.. it will go to number 1..im positive

I have a feeling this may be a LOT better than other game to film adaptations, purely because SH is plot based rather than action.
You may say that the final fantasy film was done from a plot heavy game and was still dreadful, but that's because they didn't use the plot of FF, but made some stupid stuff up.
This MUST be good!

I am a major silent Hill fan, I've played all 4 games and they have not let me down yet. Here is some scoop on the movie for u guys:
The music director in silent hill is going to be directing his own music in the movie. He demanded to be able and direct the music in the movie! Also, (Pyrimid Head) is going to be in the movie, you know the guy that drags around the big machete and the head of a pyrimid. Also they are going to have the spazaming nurses... I just hope this movie don't let down SH fans! The director of Resident Evil wanted to direct it but was not given the part to.... I think that's good! Well I'll cross my fingers and hope this one turns out better then these others that have came out!

Well honestly I think an idea of a Silent Hill movie sounds ok but it seems that the plot is Silent Hill 1 except with a female lead I will watch the movie even though I think the plot should be Silent Hill 2 but whatever plus it needs to be R sure you can make a good scary movie that is pg13 but that is not silent hill Take On Me good song

wow..manni have played all the 4 sh games..and am a die hard fan...hope they take the music rite off the game..especially from the sh4 and dont change too much...want the movie dark..gothic..and very enigmatic..
just like the game..

The Movie sounds almost exactly like the first game, except that the main character is a woman, Rose, instead of Harry.Almost everything else seems to be the same: Alessa, Dahlia. I can't wait!

i also think the music should be meaningfull. no nivarna or rock bands singin. tublabells would be great. something with lots of deaph to it. gives out feelings. emotions. like the music does in lord of the rings.

Marilyn manson, rammstein??? C'mon thats s**t, if those bands make music for this movie all will be like resident evil i mean more focused to action than survival horror. Think againg and choose better i would name for music someone like Elioth Goldental that made music for Enterview to the vampire (the first one) and Final Fantasy the spirit within. Music more darker and ambientalist.

Well, if konami is involed, then its definate that the silent hill movie will be very good. Being a major Sh fan myself i am optimistic that the movie will pwn!... now who will do music? hopefully cradle of filth, marilyn manson,rammstein or slipknot(these guys all produced music for horror movies.)

well i must say after everything i have heard recently i have hope in this film not to turn out like resident evil, i whould like to tie paul anderson to a poll and have every gamer that was disapounted kick him in the balls while whereing ice skates. but anyways roger avary did a wonderful job with pulp fiction, one of the best movies ever made damnet, and Christophe Gans did an awsome job with brotherhod of the wolf. also konami is realy watching over the whole project and not letting some british wanker just s@%t somthing out his ass. so i think we can all have hope....hopefully

If the movie is a real sh1t i swear.... i'll never will buy another silent hill game, just as i did with resident evil: the reason is that once a movie screws a game is the same that screw the gamer.

I've played everything up to Silent Hill 3. I started playing Silent Hill 4 and the story didn't feel the same.Silent Hill is a lot more scary than DOOM 3 in a disturbing way. Also there are Camera Hacks for SH2 and SH3 on the PC. If they f**k up the movie they will know.

First of all I never heard of them calling it 'Centralia' before the gamer outcry forced them to change it back. And I'm glad I didn't either or I would've suffered mental breakdown. What the hell kind of stupid name is that? The story sounds like one of the sequal games too. Why do people even go to Silent Hill anyways! Even their postcards say 'Visit Silent Hill and get sucked into a hellish nightmare!' I just wish they'd base the story on the original.

i have played Silent hill 4 the room which was a lot of fun. I had a great script kind of dark and mysterious. excellet story for a horror game. So i hope they put something of that game too.

I have played all 3 silent hill games and the atmosphere in the horror was fantastic as for the movie I wouldn't get too negative about how the movie will turn out I say it will be a very interesting story and sounds true to the game's horror characters, as for Doom3 the movie I say forget it and not waste the money on somthing that's not going to be entertaining

yeah, Doom sounds like its gonna be screwy but prolly better than D3 gameplay turned out. :)
i hope they can pull out the SH athmosphere in a movie as the game was totally awesome. though, i did like SH2 much better than SH1 but one definitely needs to know what went on in SH2 to really understand SH2. i was really amazed how the storyline in SH series unfolded. very cool and the game was damn scary too.
