When Crysis finally gets released ...it might be an A+ game ...BUT, it's still just another FPS like sooo many other PC titles.
Some of you say you need to upgrade your PC anyway ...so spending the extra cash has no merit in this dicussion ...BUT, except for nex-gen titles like Crysis & maybe Video processing ...there really is no reason to upgrade to something faster unless your PC is really old.
Pc's definitely get the nod for overall versatility ...BUT, Consoles definitely win in the games department.

As for the buying hardware just to play this 1 title,ffs get real would ya.Im gonna be building a new pc anyway early next year regardless and my existing 100+ games like oblivion, graw, BF2 etc will benefit with increased resolutions and cranked up graphic levels as im sure dark messiah of might n magic and enemy territory qauke wars will also when released.

Here we go again ...PC'ers trashing Consoles because they're going to get possibly "ONE" A+ game to play in a few months.Wakeup Morons ...Consoles have "NUMEROUS" A+ games being released "ALL" the time ...with more & more game developers switching all their resoures to Console games! Also ...how much will that new Hardware cost to play that "ONE" game properly ? You proudly state ..it uses Direct X10 ...well, you'll also have to buy Windows Vista to do so because Microsoft is "NOT" going to release it for Windows XP or other OS.

Just look at Farcry, it STILL has the best graphics as well as the most advanced AI to date and it was released Q1 2004. They've had at least 2,5 years to work on Crysis and its not like they'r exploring new territory.. these guys have experience, you better believe that the in-game graphics will definitely be that awesome.

no, misery is right.....sabre is the pure definition of a noob, anyone who would prefer to play a console over a pc just doesn't deserve to live. i would rather play minesweeper on my pc than degrade a game as great as Crysis by playing it on a console. try and play it on a console and you can say bye bye to the graphics and hence the gameplay. and to those out there like sabre who say the graphics dont mean anything....try and play hitman:bm, fear, oblivion, doom3, quake4 and other games that have awesome graphics capabilites on their lowest possible settings and on the lowest resolution, then see how long you would wanna play them when your screen just looks like one giant pixel...

Um, Singstar and Eyetoy? You just lost all credability at that point... and PC is home of true multiplayer action. AoE3, BF2, CoD2, FEAR, Far Cry, CS:S, Quake 4, Trackmania (any of them), World of Warcraft, Civilization 4...list goes on and on.

Currently I am playing Hitman Blood Money, F.E.A.R. and Oblivion. ...and thats the best PC games that are currently avaible. I thinking of buying Prey but for what? Same engine like DOOM3 and Quake4! Thats ridiculous. And the innovation in consoles are the games. Every game is different not like on the PC...
Thats typically for PC gamers...they always look at the graphics first.
What i like most on consoles are the multiplayer games. Singstar or Eyetoy...thats innovation and very funny to play in multi. I have BF2...i dont play it online. For what? Just because of flamming and Teamkill s**t? And last but not least...PC is a little bit expensive for gaming...
Thats because i buy every part on ebay...lol

The truth is hes most likely a console gamer on his dads mac. I play mostly pc games 99% of the time even though i have 4 consoles and a ds lite aswell.They are just minor distractions for the odd half hour here n there and tbh i just find pc gaming so much better with much more variety than the console stuff.

so Sabre if you are still playing C&C's or FPS you need to go and have a look at your local game shop there are plenty of new games out there that are very well writen with good story lines behind them just look out side the box and open your eyes

Alright, the game wont be on PS3. ;)Yeah, the official HW specs were released. But you can put this crap somewhere because it is always the problem that the official HW specs are to low or high.
For instance: To play Far Cry it says you need a 1ghz CPU. Bulls**t!
I have played this game on a Duron 850mhz!

This game won't be on the PS3, they are porting the engine to PS3, but the game itself is PC only. If you wanna dispute that with me, you better go read the interviews first.

But this game on the PC with full settings will make the PS3 look like sh*t. So will the next gen of pc games whithin 12-6 months! Unlucky console fans! The pc will always put console graphics to shame, the only way to go is with game play like the Wii which im gona get.

This will be one of the best games ever! Far Cry is still wonderful but this will be even better! I wonder what the minimum HW specs will be?
Currently i have an Athlon64 Venice with 1GB and soon i get a 7800GT but i dont think this will be enough to handle it on medium settings. This game i think will also be the first one that supports DX10!Game will also be avaible on PS3. That shows how powerful this console will be.
