Need for Speed High Stakes had car deformation, so I don't know what he's talking about with NFS:PS/2007 being the first game with deformation. Check your sources PLEASE!

This is awesome news, a New NFS!! I think this game is gonna be more like GT4 and Forza 2. But damn the graphics look real nice, That RX7 looks really nice. i think they should Add heaps of Iconic jap cars like:Honda NSX,R32 and R33 GTR,300zx,200sx S15,1994 WRX,Evo 3,Trueno 86 AE86. And don't forget the muscle cars. And please no 4x4, sentra's and s**t like that.

NFS never had any cars damaged because car manufacturers always refused to have their cars destroyed in game.

But, was the car physically able to deform? Like hood bending upward, being ripped off. Tires being thrown off. this is what they mean, simple texture changes to make it

Actually, NFS PU did have visible damage. Its arguable that the graphics weren't great, but it DID have both visible physical damage as well as an effect on driving. I know my games.

idiot, he meant visible damage, not internal. As you can see from the screens the cars stucture is deformed from impacts.

This is not the first NFS title with car damage. If you will recall Need for Speed: Porsche Unleased, there was car damage in that and it directly affected your steering and other driving characteristics.
