the only people that dont like this mod are the ones bad at the game, if you dont like the game then why would you waste your time on posting msg's about it, i think its the best thing that has ever happened to half-life, but thats just me..

I briefly worked on the DOD mod team, it was originally going to be a World War 3 mod and we merged with a WW2 mod to create DOD. Everything was going good until that asshole DasJuden came in, he pushed the original creators of the mod out (Including Lil Squirrel who started everything). He used my models and weapons and never gave me credit, and sold out to Valve like the rat he is.

I do not like the grafik that much and I really wonder why they did not try to improve it further.
I hate the thought of bazookas entering the game, but allright, new ideas were bound to come...

Do you people acually like any games? I thought this was a game forum, yet every thing i read on here has tons of people that just slam games. The new dod feels a lot different than the last but its still a decent game. Also its free so no one really has any right to complain. I do think bf1942 is better but its not free and dod is still the best close combat WW2 game out.

DoD is a good alternative to BF1942 and the action in DoD is more fast paced. I prefer DoD to CS and BF f ucks up at lan :@

Dod 1.0 has some major bugs especially with the sound its all crackly its a shame wats happened with dod :( its gonna turn into cs cause of valve oh well dont tell me that i didnt warn ya

This mod looks so laim; and out of date. Cheating scum are a fact of life. the thing to do is to beet them a.s.a.p. A good ploy is to reprt them to Microsoft for the pirate OS they run and all the other corperations stolen softwear they are using. It's easy to do and you can remain anonymous. It is one sure way to scew them over; and you can have a great laugh behind their back as the police cart off their system. NMF

What are you proving? That you can own newbies and veterans with CHEATS? Ummm... What you you trying to say?Anyways, this new version is unbelievable, new models are amazing. The new effects like rain,smoke,explosions are very life like and create the effect of a huge battle. Sound effects have been bump up too. When you hear bullets klink and wizz past you, you better start running! The new bullet sounds really make the game that much more enjoyable. New weapon models, and new weapons like the bazooka are very well balanced and are never over used. Level, wow the levels. Very detailed and down right gritty. crashed tanks, airplanes, trucks, destroyed houses, street battles, open fields, bridges to rush, lush forests to hide in, great sniper spots. This is the best version of DoD yer IMO.

yes indeed very sad. Not only I own newbs, I own veterans and pros when I use cheats so using cheats makes it all worth while.
Once a mod goes retail, it turns to shit. CS was not that bad but once it went retail, it became shit.
Same with DoD, it was not bad but once it went retail, it turned to shit and you know why? cuz these lil dev teams have no say once they get in the big corporation buisness which they know nothing about and they dont know what there getting into.
