Correction: It's not about NoCD crack. I tried with the original disc and the demo but both (v1.0) got stuck in the level loading screen (loading bar didn't even budge)

Well I have this problem with NoCDs: With versions 1.0 and 1.1 the level loading screen just stays there unchanged (like a still image) and with version 1.2 the screen turns black and stays black (PC still running though. I managed to kill the deus ex by blindly using task manager).

to fix the NO CD prob, all you have to do is download the demo and then install the game. It works.

i play this game too. its good yes, and can be annoying. nevertheless, stop spending so much time moaning or working out how to play it and go out. do something constructive for yourself or other people. It doesnt matter, not this much.

am PO'd right now - can't find a NO CD patch anywhere, and I even have the original game, but my drive is having problems reading the DVD it came on. Probably need a new DVD drive, but wouldn't have to go out and buy one if I had the NoCD patch. Any ideas, anyone? Game was working fine until today, and no amount of cleaning the disc is helping...

DeusEx Invisible WarEven with all recommended systems requirments met I cannot load a new games. The patches won't work either, I recieve the message old file found every time. I cannot get a tech call through to eidos either.

I don't see what the prob is except that before you run the 1.1 patch you cant quick save/quick load and after you run it you cant move or drop any items. graphics wise, it runs pefectly on my Athlon xp 2500+ with 512 mb pc3200 ddr and a geforce fx 5200 (128mb).

ok.. all of u may want a nice big cup of STFU. The xbox version and pc version were made con-currently (that means at the same time kiddies!) meaning that instead of being optimised for each individually, they did a half way half assed job. this is why u get mouse lag on pc version (fixed in patch) this game should run on a pc of 1/2 the specs it needs, but as its soo poorly optimised for the pc, it would need a hell of a lot of work to bring up to scratch, and that would include ripping the game engine apart, and redoing it with everything optimised for a pc not an xbox. If they cud be bothered, then theyd have made the 2 games seperately, sharing only the parts they have to (cutscenes/textures) and not the entire engine down to every last nook and crannie.P.S Dave u have the warez version thats why. go out and buy it, or alternatively, wait for a good game to come out where the developers want everyone to be able to enjoy it, not those on £2000 systems only.
i suggest HL2..

Hey i have one major prob with deus ex i have installed it, and it lets me go into options and play the first FMV then i can select my character but then it closes and sez "Incorrect Disk Inserted" i have updated to v1.1 but still no luck with the NOCD crack CAN ANYONE HELP MEEEE????

I have a amd xp2800 with 512 ddr and geforce 4 4200, but the performance is bad, even at the lowerst settings, all my other pc games goes fine (call of duty, max payne)this patch did not fix that problem is there more patches ?

Betting those of you who have problems after updating to 1.1 are using the NO-CD crack and failed to revert back to the original file that the NO-CD Crack altered.Most games that you have altered files in with mods, cracks or whatever have to be reverted back to the original files before adding an official patch.

I tried loading the patch, but it just cuts out at about 17% because the 'Ion Launcher.exe' is an "old file and is different to the new file" or something like that.Now, because the patch only half finished, I can't drop / use / move items in my inventory... Which as you can guess is rather annoying. Kiff game though, graphics kick ass (I don't know what the huge problem with the Bloom feature is; I think it looks awesome). Gameplay can be gay but hey... it couldn't top the first one anyway.

all this people crying like little girls who drop there ice cream....lol thought id tell u found the problem with biomod menu. open your default.ini file for the game if you add the line: Tab=SpecialMenuAction
where i have here [BiomodInstallMenuLayerBindings0]
Escape=MenuBack
Enter=MenuSelect
Tab=SpecialMenuAction
Left=MenuLeft
Up=MenuUp
Right=MenuRight you will notice it's not in the patch 1.1
so there it is.... and all that

What a piece of crap! If you have a Radeon card U might as well forget playing it!! It does matter what the rest of Ur hardware specs are. Funny enough they are aware of this at Eidos, but they still haven't fixed it!!?

ion storm really have something to answer for with the pc version. considering its coming out on the xbox (a far inferior unit to most pcs-and im running mine with a 128mb fx card) you would think theyd iron out all the bugs and do something about the shoddy framerates-dont buy this uunless you have an extremly high end Pc

I also have the patch problem!! I've upgraded to v1.1, and now I can't drop weapons/install biomods. I've heard I can upgrade video drivers/uninstall game and reinstall game, but then I'm afraid of losing my save games. Will doing this make me have to start over? Is there an easier way?

I am having problems with the patch. Since installing it I havent been able to install the biomoids or the weapons mods. WTF? I have 12 bios that NEED to be installed. Any one have Ideas?

i checked for shadow detail....where is it its not under my video options, and its not under game options i check everywhere in there and its no where....maybe the patch wasnt installed correctly

This game runs at about 17-60 fps at 1024x768 on my Pentium 4 2.6Ghz with overclocked Radeon 9600Pro. The only way to speed the game is to lower resolution, changing details has no impact on performance. This game is VERY hardware demanding.

you can turn shadows off in the shadow detail. just keep changing the shadow detail option until it says "off".The DEMO of this game seriously sucked but the full game is actually pretty good!(BTW the level in the demo isnt actually in the full game) Oh yeah the 1.0 no CD crack on this website also works on ver 1.1
