I think this will suck big time, loved the games... play WoW a bit.Cannot see how it could be a movie based on the games... RTS for the first 3 games and a life killer for the MMORPG. If it had a gnome as the main character I may watch it.

the Doom movie wasn't HORRIBLE. And blizzard will be working side by side. and blizzard is amazingly precise with making their games, so they'll probably do the same with the movies. Also knowing the fan base, even if it does suck, it'll still be successful.

As long a Uwe Boll isn't making it, it has a chance. (Why hasn't he learned his lesson yet? Uwe can't make good movies!)

Why go live action? They've got the skill with pre-rend to make a full length movie that'd hold up to something like Pixar, maybe even the Square team.
