This would be good news IF the games were any good but for gawds sake, halo and shadowrun??
Keep this crap on the consoles where it belongs please M$ cos pc gamers are used to GOOD fps, not mediocre pap!

these games are dx9 and merely hacked by m$ to only run on vista so ppl buy that pos. that really sucks, xp is there best os to date.

What does Direct X 10 have to do with Halo 2 and Shadowrun? Neither run with anything higher than DirectX 9.0c.You guys turned it into more of a Falling Leaf bash thread than anything else, and I'm noting this as a problem because VAIO (prior to its merger with Alky) ran quite a few Vista apps on XP flawlessly. Ignorance is bliss, no?

you do know shadowrun and halo 2 are DirectX 9 right.... So calling them DX10 is just plain wrong.

lol ahahaha microsoft will have to do better than this if it wants to premote its new and crappyier os as halo 2 and shadowrun aint os sellers specially if there directx 9 games which can work with xp

halo 2 WORKS on XP !! Check demonoid they have a WORKING XP patch ! and the framerate is MUCH better in XP than it is in Vista.
