You can still play with your friends at the lan by going online.

Yep I canceled both my preorders :) that i have had for almost 2 years now... no money for them... and since they say diablo 3 wont have LAN they are gonna lose my preorders on that 2...

So heres starcraft 2. we cut the story to 1/3 of what it was in the last game and we removed features to make it better for you, this means you have to buy it 3 times to get the full story but it will be better for you, not for us for you.

I was going to buy this game and have been waiting since SC1, if blizzard thinks they can play me by selling limited software like this then they are wrong...i wont be buying this game and i prey they dont go down the same road with Diablo III

They remove LAN, allow you to play only one side in the first part... it's like they're deliberately handicapping this game, amputating it to the point it's barely alive and expect the masses to buy it, then beg for their next fix. And it will probably sell really well, more than Red Alert 3. However, with the LAN removal I think they're shooting themselves in the foot, since it was a big reason why it sold so well and kept people playing it for many years. Still, Blizz probably knows best, and is doing as much as it can get away with and still make loads of money. Afterall, they're in the business of making money and successfull games don't always have to be of best quality.
