To all those who use kazaa:
It is, as we all know, a pretty good and reliable program. But for those who don't know, there is version 1.6.1 out now, allthough i have trouble Dl'n it. Kazaa is good yes, but it has many error under windows and you run the risk of getting virus's in any "EXE" files you download. So, b careful of them. But for music, and songs you havn't heard in ages, it's very good.
I'd like to address the issue to do with kazza altering other users PC's? Is this true? I know one or two people that won't use kazaa for that reason, and the numbers on kazaa have been dwindeling some. Where there was a normal 1.7 million users on at one time, it was as low as 400,000 two or three days ago, which goes to show that a lot of people have been affected, and are not going for kazaa.
For kazaa's sake they might want to fix the problem ASAP because people won't use what they know is bad for them. It's common sense. And, since the new version of 1.5 and above, you no longer have the option of chatting to other users, which i think was half the fun while you waited for your downloads to be done. But alas, this is gone, making kazaa just a place to get movies, pic, music, and apps.
Unless you have a fast connection, there isn't worth getting anything else.In the end i leave the decision to you ppl. Do you want it? It is the easiest way to find the song you want, but the popups, and problems that can be involved are a little pretensious, and hard to deal with. But if you like it, go for it!

i liked morpheus too. till the preview stopped working. it never connected.. now im on kazaa. leave kazaa alone. kazaa is better and faster and there are more people on it than morpheus

Man i loved morpheus it was a dream to me. All the sharing and downloading. Then suddenly one day i was downloaiding and it kicked me out the server i decided to reconnect. It got on but had a slow download speed so i restarted my computer and figured it out it wouldnt reboot so i have to F*ck*n reboot it. DAMNIT!!!

I think i know now why morpheus users are getting a lot of hack attempts lately. When morpheus was hacked, the hackers downloaded the most valuable section of morpheus itself, the logs. Morpheus like many fileshare programs has a central log that contains the ip addresses of all its users. This log helps morpheus determine who is a member and who is not. When the hackers took the log and corrupted it, morpheus had no way of sorting members from non members. I think morpheus has switched to their new version in order to give them time to rebuild the log. Till then though, any morpheus user that may have been on there for the last few months is likely to have their system hacked, as hackers determine who is hackable and who is not. Be on your guard though because once they are finished with morpheus they will go after kazaa since kazaa is identicle in design to morpheus. As far as virus attacks go, always check the file size of programs cause if its too small or too big then maybe its best to remember this quote, If it smells like shit, just delete it.

i was a big fan of morpheus and allways will be. who the f**k wants some pencil d**ked asshole snoopin around on your f**kin comp. ya, the new preview edition is a piece of shit, BUT IT'S A PREVIEW! ITS NOT COMPLETE! besides, u dont get as many f**kin bugs and viruses from morpheus as u do from kazaa. all u kazaa users can suck my d**k! EAT SHIT AND DIE

I recently heard an interesting thing on 'TechTV'. They said that soon morpheus will begin working with RIAA and have the ability to delete files that are downloaded through morpheus after a certain time period!!! Screw that, I'll delete my own files.. thank you!

KaZaA is the way people,
I used to use Morpheus, it died, I went to KaZaA and as yet have had NO problems with it whatsoever.
I downloaded Morpheus P E , and , to be honest - if they had have spent more time on getting the stupid shit bug proof, instead of using their time to make all the tab/selection buttons (eg connect) to have pretty little pictures, maybe I would still be with them. But I arent, and I recommend KaZaA to anyone who needs a new P2P program.~~~~~~~~~~~LONG LIVE KaZaA~~~~~~~~~~

My friend had got a virus from KaZaA.Name:Win95.CIH The virus may cause damage to the user's computer on the 26th of month.The virus hides itself unused portions of the host,so the host size does not change.This specific virus can delete the BIOS so in little words you must find another BIOS(VERY DIFFICULT!!!)or the best solution will be to buy another motherboard.
Oh!And those of you who use KaZaA.Do NOT ever download Warcraft III keygen or Hercules the game.Warcraft III keygen installs a trojan horse in your computer!!!I don't reccomend those kind of sharing programs...

i use grokster to connect through to kazaa at www.grokster.com it is alot better then kazaa and morpheus also try imesh at www.imesh.com thst is a good p2p file sharing program too.

kazaa seems to be exactly identicle in design to morpheus. However kazaa's latest version is a lot more profitable to adventiseing and research companies. There are at least 3 or more spyware tools loaded into its interface including that stupid gigapet that offers a lot but does nothing but shit. hehe You sadly can not remove the spyware programs with adaware since like windows its linked heavily to internet explorer. I reccomend kazaa only until either morpheus gets better or another file share program enters the mainstream.

Well I used to use Morpheus until their network went down the loo then I downloaded KaZaA and I've had no problms with that. I don't fear viruses... I only use the software to download MP3s mainly and viruses can't live on 'em.I have seen the new Morpheus at my friends house and yes it stinks bad... very bad. It's an awfull program! It's total diabolic.

The only thing I would like to say is that MANY viruses can be downloaded from KaZaA.I know this because of my experience with them and I wouldn't reccomend this sharing program.I don't know the Morpheus program but I am sure it is better than KaZaA...

Morpheus PE is only a preview, its like a demo for a new game, its never as good as the actual artical, its just to give you a look at whats to come. Just wait for the launch of Morpheus 2, it will kick KaZaas' ass into space!

if u log on to kazaa then the amount of users is usually over 1000000. it used to be much less. therefore kazaa must be better cause u can get more stuff of more people = faster d/load rates - LONG LIVE KAZAA

Personally, I can wait for morphueus. Any body who tries to exploit file sharing for any reason, shouldn't be considered worth sharing, or looking at their advertisements. And on top of that, actually disconnecting millions of users from file sharing is wrong, and should be seen as an attack at the heart of file sharing. LONG LIVE MORPHEUS

Obviously you don't know the crap that spyware can cause but hey, i'll just let you live in ignorance. Morpheus unlike kazaa is a lot less buggy and often it works a lot better. The real problem is not morpheus itself but attempts by the file share creators to appease the recording industry by screwing their users. Look at what napster is being made into if u need any more proof. Oh and if u expect kazaa to get better than your again living in ignorance cause after morpheus is down then kazaa will have all morpheus and napster users turning to them. This will make kazaa the perfect target to be eliminated. Its classic divide and conquer. Thats why file share programs arent lasting long. They issolate each and eliminate them. Morpheus is the current target. Everything else is irrelevent.

This is a classic case of companies canibalizing each other and screwing users in the process. Kazaa maybe a good network but they have limitations that morpheus did not such as the spyware issue. Morpheus has recently been the target of the recording industry and if the grammy announcement is a sign then i think its safe to say that now every file share company is gonna screw each other and kiss the big recording execs asses in order to stay status quo. tisk tisk tisk oh how the mighty have fallen. :(

Yeah This is true because i didn't realize it at the time, but my Computer was screwed up after i connected to morpheus. i shut it down like normal and i went to start it up the next day and it said regestry had been tampered with and system.ini was missing. I didn't know what happened but now i do. i will never connect to morpheus again. if i were u i would never either.
