Compagny sole purpose to make money and screw the customer with copyright protection that forbids them to use the content THAT THEY BOUGHT with their hard earned money to its full potential. Why if I wanted to give someone a copy of a NOVEL it is legal to photocopy it but when I want to give someone a copy of a music Cd I payed way too much for in the first place it is illegal, LAWS make no sense, should it not be illegal to control how the customer want to use the product. If they want to make backup copies it is their choice, and what the fuge is this Region codded CD players (I never wanted to buy something that does not work) ANd if the cd denies me to copy it for backup what will I do if I loose the original copy, ask a compagny for a new one(their too pig headed)........

We are above you don’t you know that yet? We have been around since commodore 64. When you didn’t even know what computers were. Don’t make us to mad with these dumb laws remember we are the ones that ready run everything. I started by downloading what I couldn’t buy now I can buy what ever I want but I always download first to see is if I think the company deserves the money. I support who earns it.

Oh well, as long as EA is pirated into bankruptcy, I'll be happy. Damn monopolizing bastards aren't gonna force ME to buy their game if I want real NFL team names in a video game.

"just return ur broke stuff to walmart instead of making backups. this way it will hurt the corporations by makeing them replace crap allll the time. then they'll realize how useful backups are." Hahaha. This is a pretty good idea, except wal-mart doesn't accept returns on scratched cds, unless you say when you got it it was scratched , but if a game I buy gets scratched a couple of months after I get it (at which point I doubt they'd accept the return) it would be nice to have an ISO bacup so I wouldn't have to buy it again. I really hope this bill makes it. ------------ PunaProgrammer Chris

A society that charges an amount that bankrupst a family for punishment for non-commercial personal use copyright infringment should not exist anywhere. It is the good example of corporatism (fascism) where people are tyrannized becouse of the interest of corporations.

If someone needs a $500 DvD on how to NOT be electricuted. They shouldent be around the dangerious situations in the first place. Heres some hints water conducts, wood splinters and explodes like shrapnel, rubber melts. If you survive the previous three it may be time to call a professional?*BZZZZZTT* *WHUMP!* wrong. Get the f**k out of there.

This is wonderful, it will over-rule all of the age old technology fallacies that prohibit so much common practices. Finally, I can copy my company's training DVDs so they can't get destroyed... $500 a DVD to teach somone "how NOT to be electricuted" is pretty crappy, having them stolen/destroyed is even worse!

some of this bill really needs to be put in to consideration especially the confusion part. (too bad if i cant spell its in my genes) anyhow ppl still need to be able to make legal back-up copies via sometimes breaking the protection as its othwerwise impossible to make one so why the hell have one if ppl can break it? seriously if it can be broken which is usually true just dont bother. e.g. sony ps,ps2,psp, pc games. etc. i do not condone that ppl actually do this but i do say that sometimes ppl need to bypass the layer.

Doesnt sound like much to me the stuff they aim to change really only pertains to widespread use not individual, we already do this legally or not.

Well, all this really does is extend the copywrite laws to cover copywrite protection used on CD's and such. It don't really surprise me to see something like this actually.Look at it this way, at least it's better than Induce, jesus that was a nasty bill, thank god it never went through. (no offense to religious peeps)
