I bought the limited edition and returned it a few days later, the game lacks any interesting gameplay, basicly its a bunny-hop contest. I hate games like this, they show trailers with tactical gameplay, but when you log in for the first time, everybody is jumping around spamming everywhere.In my book, its just another UT.

'Battlefield 2 but with aliens'Halo had aliens in it too. Its closer to Quake 2/4 mixed with Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. Anon @ 5:25 Dont worry about the game balance the devs are crapping themselfs over it, basicly the game is done. They want to delay it just so they can get it right.

Yes its a stand alone game but its not free as in no money free like ET was,is !
Looking forward to this as a better than BF2 type game but am REALLY looking forward to the new return to castle wolfenstein game !

Yeh, ATI Vista OpenGL drivers are still in beta and don't even run Doom 3 properly yet, so he is definately lying.

"you seriously need a new video card if your getting 10fps on doom 3. My 9600XT gets 80fps on Extreme mode at 1600*1200 in OpenGL, on Vista Beta 2."right....maybe you could get 80fps with wireframes using that video card...not actual 3d graphics though....flippin liar

hope they'll do a REAL good work in bilancing teams... otherwise this game is f**ked. i hope it will not be like rts, where a new patch for bilancing sides have to be released every 30 days

at 20:13...well it was a 9800 pro i tried it on...dunno why it ran so bad..It seemed to be running in software mode as the textures looked REAL basic.
Oh and anon @ 0:31...that wasnt me that posted dude so i guess ya got 2 ppl mixed up.

I hope its longer then quake 4, 2 and a half hours of gameplay isnt worth the recordable dvd - Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is a 100% multiplayer game, no single player yo.

at 22:54 3/8/2006...Actually i couldnt get some open gl games to run on the vista beta for some reason.Used the new vid drivers etc but doom was only 1 worked and it looked like it was running in software mode at about 10fps and i usually get 90fps or so in timedemo.Oh and Anonymous

There isn't gonna be a huge drop in OpenGL performance in Vista. That was an unsubstatiated claim made much earlier on, that has carried through as rumour. But the beta benchmarks doesn't show this so called drop.
