O ya one other thing. EQ 1 does blow but you have to remember when the game came out. What 4 years ago? The problem is that they waited too long to make EverQuest 2.

Wow i like how none of you have anything postive to say. What i dont get most is why people hate ever quest so much? Because of the monthly fee? WEll i dont like it ehter but fine any other MMOG thats any good you dont pay for. You cant becuase there are none and all of you blizzard fans waiting for WOW. Looks cool but dont expect too much and youll be paying for the game just like EQ when it comes out.

Kudos to y'all who are against EQ. You all have struck Verant on the spot. A simple but bad mistake is that people think this is Sony's fault. Hell no! This is the fault of Verant. Get them outta' the MMORPG buisiness and I think we would be alright. If you want to see my full speel on EQ go to the World of Warcraft PReview and comments.

original EQ was great.. for a couple of weeks. until I got to know the whole damn world and everything in it, it turned out to be a pathetic game with nothing to do... fishing? yes! great idea! sounds fun! but it's USELESS, why fish for fish when you can buy food hella cheap. why make fine plate when it's not worth your bloody time? nobody'll buy it. if you get good at tailoring an opportuniy may come up ONCE in your career to do something for a player for a quest - which pretty much nobody even does in that game. honestly, w(hy)tf is it called EverQUEST when people don't even do them. EQ2 should give people should have the opportunity to pursue a career as a merchant while having fun in the process and some worth to other players. even in DAoC they didn't do a sufficient job of emphasizing the importance of player merchants.. i know i'm just ranting but my point is - EQ 1 was Repetitive, don't make the same mistake the second time around. go the whole nine yards, fix it so nobody has anything to complain about.

ive been playing EQ for a while now and i have a pretty awesome computer and EQ stills sucks on it. Cant you ever get all the lagging fixed? The graphics are horrible!! Cant you just hurry up and sell EQ2? Im not sure if im even going to keep playing if it stays the same with EQ not ever having any improvements.oh well,, your problem, fix it!

Everquest = Xp grind, no storyline of any substinance, Kill Kill, did I mention all you do is kill? I leveled a character up to level 31 before I realized the game drags you into a giant online "my wanker is bigger than your wanker" contest! There was no player uniqueness, once you have seen one level 60 of any class, you have pretty much seen them all. Lack of player distinction and player effect on the enviornment makes EQ a phenomenal waste of time and money. Unless you like spending 12 hours a day doing nothing but monotonously killing re-spawning enemies in order to level up and join some Uber L33t guild who thinks they are the greatest thing since microwavable popcorn!

Im Happy to pay a fee if it means less idiots and I can be relatively sure that people arent hacked like Diablo,It seems to me EQ2 is aimed at a lower average age group,As for hundreds of thousands of ppl playing hmmm if there is more than 100 ppl in a zone in EQ theres lots lag cable or not so that is yet to be seen maybe I misread that bit,The real aspect that may hinder these types of games is the same thing a flashier version pretty graphics are no substitute for real game playability and depth.The appeal of fee paying may not be so well received as games online are only as strong as the community created by the players,im sure Eq2 will be brilliant and a good basis to further build from just like Everquest has evolved to where it is today,And as for some of these ill conceived comments well its a good thing you wont be joining us isnt it ;P

Dude dont get me wrong i used to love EQ, but damn that game is more repetative than me whipin my ass. i mean it is good, but oh my GOD verant is and has always been THE WORST company KNOWN to man, i mean who the hell hires those frickin dooche bags. Those people couldnt count there toes. They are dumb as bricks. and will NOT help you for shit. So i say EQ would be good if Verant wasnt involved...hah bunch of lamers...peace

Having played EQ for over a year, and having seen the promised "improvements" in the game/graphic engine when Luclin came out (it still chops and crawls on a 2GHz P4 w/ a GF4 Ti 4600), a couple of slick rendered screen shots aren't going to convince me that they've improved the game engine - I'll believe it when I see it - "complete rewrite" or not...I've given up Evercrack myself, and it would take a LOT of improvements to make me return :P Unfortunately, you also have to pay $40+ a month to get on the Legends servers in order to avoid the "punks" in the game :P

Yet another game you have to pay a monthly fee for..... Sure the game will probably be great and all, and nice to look at, but who the hell wants to pay 10 bucks a month on a game. It's not even ADND based.. Now if Bioware came out with a huge online world that had the feel of NWN in it that would be something. If you ask me, never winter nights is going to kick a lot of ass, I just don't think its big enough.

Everquest is a very good game, but there customer service in and out of games sucks. If they worked on that they would be a great company.
