I don't understand one thing with Winmx; how do you search for program files? It seems like there is only 3 options, video, audio and pics. If anyone can help, I would be very grateful!

I just want to say all you little fags that say kazaa and imesh are the best. Well there not all they do is take up CPU time and make ur comptuer run slow. its f**king true. They ahve ads up the ass and f**king spyware too. Even the kazaa lite and imesh without ads they make ur comptuer go slow as f**k. So get rid of it. Even when ur not running the program. ITS HIDDEN. little programs arerunning making ur coputer slow just so they can give u ads while ur playing a game online and that f**ks u up. SO GO WITH WINMX ITS TOTALLY f**kING BETTER THEN KAZAA AND IMESH.

Read and learn, You cant go past Kazaa Lite.its quick,clean and is add free.I seldomly turn up empty handed and always get what I want.If you want a p2p system thats proven and works give Kazaa lite a go

WinMX is my favorite file sharing app. The only thing that I don't like about the newer versions starting with 3.0 up is the opennap screen where it tells you that only advanced users should use opennap servers. I think that the use of their program with opennap servers is pretty self explanatory, especially with the addition of the .wsx file format. They say that opennap servers are slow, which is true, but you can get thousands more results by using opennap servers. Besides if you are downloading from multiple sources then it isn't that slow after all.

winmx 3.1, 3.2, and 3.22 all make my machine crash so hard it reboots. 2.6 is somewhat ok it fails here and there with xp pro. Kazaa is much better but not as much selection of software to download.

Ok, I used it, and i perfer Kazaa alot better. It has all the special little tweaks that MX does except for a few, but i will take better connection speed and over all performance then have to tinker with a program that looks like it came up out of the "dark ages" (Dos).
Over all, except for a few minor things Kazaa cleaned MX's clock, my only thing against Kazaa is their talking ads, i can deal with seeing then just not hearing them.

Been using winmx since version 2.6 and am now using version 3.22.Yes there may be times when the network is slow but this is by far the best app...simular to napigator..so basically if you dont like dont use .simple..

I tried Kazza imesh napster Edonkey and WinMX, I mainly am looking for mp3 files I find WinMX is by far the best for that, tho I do find I get more results with kazza for software and movies....I will have a look at that DC++ thingy and I wanna get Kazza lite also :D

DC++ is the best P2P program. If you haven't tried it you're missing out! No ads. No bogus files like kazaa. I D/L so much stuff I need a new hard drive LOL

I think this program works great!
Its the first one I've been able to run since Napster and its built w/out spyware.
The only problem is that some of my searches come up with nothing but thats part of the game.
I would recommend this one over Morpheus or AudioGalaxy.

it's is bit shit, i ever use, oh yeah, it's maybe fast download, but it didn't keep all the song list that u pick out, when u close down the computer, i will stick with imesh & Kazaaunstill then imesh & kazaa is the one i use

Your all wrong, get Kazaa Lite. It's a hacked version of kazaa w/o adware or spyware, and none of that gay bonzi buddy. It's also faster than normal kazaa. Search the net for it, the website changes addresses all the time.

I find WinMX is the best P2P to download music, I find theres more music on this than on Kazaa, plus the lack of adverts and pop ups make this the best p2p app for music. However if you want games and apps to download, then Kazaa is the best, WinMX never seems to find hardly any for me, I dont know if anyone else has had that problem...?
